Thrifted Spring Fashion

By: Riley McKelvy

Though blooming flowers and warm afternoon breezes are certainly good signs that winter is behind us, it never truly feels like the seasons have shifted until I am able to break out my warm weather clothes that have been hiding away since the leaves last fell. Something about packing
away the chunky knits and cozy layers of colder months to make room for swingy dresses and linen blouses feels a lot like finally breaking up with that person your friends have been telling you to get rid of for far too long; lighter, simpler, and easier.

Today, I’ve put together a few warm weather looks that will hopefully inspire you for your next trip to your local thrift store, or simply excite you, because 75 degree days are actually in the forecast. All of the outfits featured are entirely thrifted or secondhand, to include killer vintage
denim, bold patterns, and accessories that just so happen to be super on trend. Sure, thrifting is fun, but it’s also a great way to save yourself some money while simultaneously saving our planet. When you shop secondhand, you are shopping sustainably, which is WAY cooler than
paying $100 for a dress from that store in the mall that you’ll wear exactly twice. Who’s with me?
